Robert Anderson

Funeral services for Robert Anderson, 75, who died Friday after a brief sickness at 2 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran church at Alron. Rev. DAvid J. Roy officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.

He was born May 26, 1878, in Union county, S. D. He married Olga Erickson on March 28, 1917, in Sioux City. He lived in Union county until 1946 when he retired and moved to Akron.

Survivors are the widow; a son, Stnaley of Akron; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Mollet of Akron; a brother, William of Van Nuys, Calif., a sister, Miss Christine Anderson of Akron, and four grandchildren.

The Lewison funeral home of Akron had charge of services.

ROBERT ANDERSON DIES FRIDAY AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS

Rites Held Monday For Lifelong Resident Of This Community

Robert Anderson departed this life at the Akron community Hospital last Friday afternoon, March 12, 1954, following a severe illness of a few days duration. At the time of his passing he was 75 years, 9 months, 14 days of age.

Robert Anderson was born in Sioux Valley township, Union county, S. D., May 26, 1878. When only a few days of age, he was baptized by the pastor from the Union Creek Lutheran Church. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Gustaf Anderson. On November 18, 1917, he was united in marriage with Miss Olga Erickson. The wedding took place in Sioux City, Iowa.

They made their home on the old Anderson home in Union County, S. D., and continued residence there until 1946, when they moved into Akron.

Mr. Anderson was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church and was usually faithful and regular in attendance at services and at family organizational meetings at the chruch.

Among those remaining to mourn his departure are: His wife; his daughter, Mrs. Frances Mollet, and his son, Stanley, both of Akron, four grandchildren; his brother, William, of Van Nuys, Calif.; his siter, Chritine, of Akron, and many other relatives and his many, many friends. One son, Conrad Robert, passed away only three months of age.

Funeral services were held from the Immanuel Lutheran church, Monday afternoon, with Pastor "David J. Roy officiating. The hymns, "What a FRiend We have in Jesus" and "God Be With You," were sung by Mrs. Milton Anderson, accompanied by Mrs. Henning Shoulberg at the organ. arthur Brundeen, John Frisk, William Nystrom, Eric Olusd, Ed Sand and Roland Swanson were pallbearers. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
