Donald G. Peck

Donald G. Peck, 53, Sioux City, died Saturday (June 3, 1978) at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held Wednesday, June 7 at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Open Bible. The Rev. Elbert Dougherty officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Akron, under the direction of the Berkemier funeral home.

Mr. Peck was born July 17, 1924, at Akron, and moved to Sioux City in 1944. He married Mary Youngquist Nov. 30, 1945, at Dakota City. The couple resided in Sioux City since then. Mr. Peck was an army veteran of World War II and was a solid waste contractor for the city of Sioux City.

Mr. Peck was a member of the Church of th eOpen Bible, Sioux City, and post 580, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Miss Barbara Peck of Des Moines; three brothers, Bernard, Alcester, Virgil, Jefferson, S. D., and Robert, Westfield; six sisters, Mrs. Cleo Johnson, North Bend, Ore., Mrs. Hubert (Loraine) Kulvik, Newfolden, Minn., Mrs. Marlays Brewer, and Miss Marlilyn Peck, both of Westfield; Mrs. Lloyd (Mary) Kamradt and Mrs. Henry (Bernice) Hansen, both of Sioux City.
