Mr. Betsy Easton, aged 79, a former resident of Akron, passed away at the home of her son, Elmer Easton, in Elk point, S. D., Wednesday morning, May 9, 1945, ollowing a brief illness.
Mrs. Easton was born February 22, 1866, in Union county, S. D., where she spent her early life. She was united in marriage with Samuel Easton in Elk Point, S. D., and to this union six children were born. For a number of years the family lived in Akron, but after the death of her husband about forty years ago, Mrs. Easton and children moved to Elk Point and has since made her home there.
Besides her husband, three children preceded her in death.
Left to mourn her departure are a daughter, Mrs. Wm. Eslick, of Elk Point, and two sons, Bert, of Akron, and Elmer, of Elk Point; also, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held last Friday at 2 p.m. in the immanuel Lutheran church in Elk Point, conductd by Rev. D. L. Jacobson. Interment was in Riverside cemetery, Akron, beside her husband.
