Mrs. Herman Hagge dies At Ireton

Marie Zimmerman Hagge was born Sept. 8, 1885 in Ireton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Richard A. and Gertrude Garrels Zimmerman. On December 25, 1885 she was baptized in St. Paul's Lutheran church by Rev. Buenger. She was confirmed on Palm Sunday, 1900 by Rev. Grimm.

On March 16, 1910 she was married. to Herman Hagge in Ireton. Shortly after their marriage they started farming 5 miles north of Ireton where they resided for 26 years later moving to their present home in Ireton. To this union 2 daughters were born, Mildred Hagge Vander Mei and Leona Hagge.

On April 20, 1942 she suffered a stroke which paralyzed her left side leaving her an invalid. On the morning of May 31, 1946 she had another stroke leaving her in a coma. She passed away Wednesday June 5, at 10:30 A. M.

Her parents and one sister, Mrs. Martin Moeller preceded her in death. She leaves her husband. 2 daughters, one grandchild Beulah Vanden Mei, 3 sisters, Hannah Zimmerman, Mrs. Court Struck. Mrs. Tillie Niehaus and one brother, John Zimmerman.

She reached the age of 60 years, 8 months and 27 days.

Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Lutheran church June 8, Rev. H. W. Krieger officiating. Interment was in Ireton Cemetery.
