Horace Clark
Horace Eugene Clark, 77, Sioux City, a former longtime Hinton farmer died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1976, at Plymouth Manor in Le Mars after an illness of two weeks. He had lived at the Manor since 1972.
Mr. Clark was born June 24, 1899, in Macedonia to John and Anna Kaukee Clark.
He was a retired farmer and contractor and was well known in this area as a saddle horse enthusiast who bred and showed the animals. He had lived in Council Bluffs until moving to Hinton in 1940. He was never married.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. E. J. Berreth of the Merrill and Adaville United Methodist churches officiating. Burial will be in Memorial park cemetery, Sioux City under direction of the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ella Storm Oakland and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by five brothers, a twin, Harvey, George, Vern, Lyman and Frank and by a sister Edna.
