Her maiden name has been spelled both ways in obituaries Chapeny, and Champney.

Mrs. Daisey Lyle, 74, Well Known Kingsley Woman Interred

Funeral services for Mrs. Daisey Lyle, 74, were conducted at the Congregational church in Kingsley, Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Paul P. Jackson oficiated.

Mrs. Lyle died at a Sioux City hospital Thursday, July 9, following an illness of two years. Interment was in the Kingsley cemetery.

Daisey Champeny, daughter of Edward and Jane Twogood Champeny, was born in Cherokee county, Jan. 23, 1878. Her early life was spent in Cherokee county, Jan. 23, 1878. Her early life was spent in Cherokee and Plymouth county. She married William Henry Lyle in 1902. Mr. Lyle died in 1915.

The Lyles lived on a farm east of Kingsley where she was a devoted mother and housewife. She enjoyed gardening and was a great friend and neighbor. In 1942 she moved to Leeds.

She is survived by four daughters: Edith and Laurela, Leeds, Mrs. Milford Matthews, Kingsley, and mrs. Lloyd Bainbridge, Pierson; and three sons, Harry, Leeds; Howard, Kingsley; and Wilbur, Ft. Benton, Mont.; 11 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
