Mrs. John Ahrens died at her home in Grant township on Sunday after an illness of a few weeks. She was 86 years of age and her death was due to the infirmities of old age.

She had been a resident of this county for the past twelve years.

Mrs. Ahrens was a native of GErmany and was the mother of Clans S. Mammen and Mrs. Wm. Pecks of Grant twonship.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon and theinterment made in the Grant twonship cemetery.
