Died
STORK--At the City Hotel in Le Mars, Sunday, October 2, of acute peritonitis, Wilhelm Stork, aged 28 years.
Mr. Stork was a native of Westphalia, Germany, and came to America nine or ten years ago.
He had been working during the fall with a threshing machine, near Maurice. He came to Le Mars Saturday evening, and was slightly sick when he put up at the hotel at six o'clock and grew worse. He could not account for his sickness except that he had taken a glass or two of beer and was somewhat overheated with walking. He grew worse until Sunday night, when he died at 11:30. Before his death he called Father Meis, of St. Joseph church, and gave over to him and the doctor his funds amounting to over six hundred dollars to take car of. Not having any relations within reach, who coulld come to the funeral he was buried Monday morning.
Dr. C. M. Hillebrand, who attended the case, says there is no grounds whatever for the reports on the street Monday, that it was a case of cholera.
