HOLD RITES FOR ESTEEMED AKRON WOMAN SATURDAY

Mrs. Frank Waterbury Called By Death After An Extended Illness

Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Saturday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Akron, for Mrs. Catherine Waterbury, who passed away early Wednesday morning, February 11, 1942, in a Sioux City hospital, after an illness of several weeks.

Catherine Eulalia Burke was born at Fort Yates, North Dakota, on August 4, 1893 and died at the age of 49 years, 6 months, and 7 days. In August, 1909, she was united in marriage with Frank Waterbury, of Le Mars, Iowa; Lieut. Arnold Waterbury, serving with the U. S. Army, and Bobby, who died in babyhood. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Rose Burke, of Westfield, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Hoschler and Mrs. Claude Burris, of Akron, and Mrs. Chas. Braun, of Sioux City; on brother, Stephen Burke, of Dell Rapids, S. D., also by several nieces and nephews. The relatives have the sincerest sympathy of the community in their bereavment.

Catherine Waterbury was a loving and devoted wife and mother. In constant attendance at the beside of her husband during his last illness, his death was a terrible blow to her-one from which she never full recovered. Always willing and ready to help others in sickness and trouble she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her for her many fine qualities and virtues.

Serving as pallbearers at the funeral services were: Frank Coyle, Lawrence Gibbons, Gus. Martin, Jow McCue, Nels Beaubien and Frank Montagne. her remains were laid to rest beside those of her husband in the Akron Catholic cemetery.
