Carl and Mary Balk died April 23, 1974 as the result of a car accident.
Joint services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Marvin Krueger officiating. Burial in Arlington Cemetery will be under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home.
Mr. Balk was born on April 3, 1902 in Gehrden, Germany. He came to the Moville area with his parents at the age of four. The family lived on a farm eight miles northwest of Moville until 1912 when they moved to the farm which Mr. Balk farmed until his death.
The Balks were members of Trintiy Lutheran church.
The couple's survivors are a son, William, and a daughter, Mrs. Jerome (Maryann) Neugebauer, both of Moville.
Mr. is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Edmund (Emma) Zellmer, Mrs. Clifford (Frieda) Wahlberg and Ella Balk all of Moville and Mrs. William (Hanna) Koetke of Kingsley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
