Note: His mother's maiden name was Arnold.

News of the Accident

Mr. Hamilton, an old man living with Robert Taylor about six miles west of here was driving a team of horses. When descending a short but steep hill, a tug came unfastened, causing the horses to get frightened and by the sudden jump they gave, the neck-yoke slipped off the tongue, the latter fell down, the animals started to run and the man was thrown to the ground. His legs being paralyzed the presumption is that the wagon ran over him. The attending physician thinks that by reason of his age, 56, years, his recovery is doubtful.
