Sun City, Ariz.: Donna D. Lias, formerly of Aberdeen, died Aug. 14, 2011, after a brief illness in Sun City, Ariz.
She was born May 31, 1918, to Clarence and Elma Warfield.
She married Melvin E. Lias, who predeceased her in 1994.
She is survived by two children, Karen L. Wolff and David E. Lias, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Aug. 19, 2011.
Internment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Akron, Iowa.

Donna D. Lias passed away Aug. 14, 2011, at Boswell Medical Hospital, Sun City, AZ, after a short illness.
A memorial service was held Aug. 19 at Freedom Plaza in Sun City, AZ. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Akron.
Donna was born May 31, 1918, at Madison, SD, the daughter of Clarence J. and Elma M. Warfield. She graduated from high school in Mitchell.
Donna was united in marriage to Melvin E. Lias. They lived in Akron, Sioux Falls, SD, Rochester, NY, and Aberdeen, SD, before moving to Arizona in 1979. While living in Akron the Lias family owned and operated the Frozen Food Center. They were members of Wesley United Methodist Church, in which they were very active. They were also very active in the school and other community activities. Donna was a lifelong member of P.E.O. Melvin passed away in 1994.
Survivors include two children: Karen L. Wolff (John) of Ann Arbor, MI, and David E. Lias (Virginia) of Danbury, CT; five grandchildren: John and Christopher Wolff, Catherine Christensen, Jennifer and Margaret Lias; five great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Jordan, and Jessamyn Wolff, Ryan Metter, and Amanda Gokey.
