SIOUX CITY | Diane Theresa McFarland, 51, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at an Akron, Iowa, care facility.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of All Nations in Sioux City. Interment will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Diane was born Sept. 18, 1961, the daughter of Don and Marjorie (Hoffman) Solomon in Akron. She later moved to Riverside, Calif., returning to Sioux City in the early 1970s.

Diane worked as a home health aide. She enjoyed scrapbooking, shopping, all crafts and spending time with all of her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her father, Don Solomon of Arkansas; her son, James Solomon and his wife, Missy, of Sioux City; her daughter, Stacy McFarland and her companion, Pat, of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Rod Solomon and Ron Solomon, both of Westfield, Iowa; and her special friend, Lyndon Hamann of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Memorials may be made in Diane’s name to the family.
