Mrs. Florence Moritz

Mrs. Florence Moritz, 86, longtime Kingsley resident, died Wednesday morning (Sept. 29, 1976) at Sioux City St, Luke's Medical center after a lengthy illness.

Florence Laude was born April 5, 1890, in Plymouth county to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Laude, She had lived her entire life in Plymouth county. She was married to G. F, Moritz Dec, 2,1911, in Plymouth county. The couple farmed between Remsen and Kingsley most of their married life until retiring to Kingsley approximately 20 years ago.

Mr. Moritz died nine years ago today on Sept. 30, 1967.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moritz will be Saturday. Oct. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kingsley Congregational church with Rev. Norman Meyers officiating. Burial will be in the Kingsley cemetery under direction of the Michaelson funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Nels (Florence) Mathers and Mrs. Roy (Joyce) Mathers, both of Kingsley; one son, G. F. Moritz Jr. of Remsen; a brother. ,L. V. Laude of Kingsley; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Moritz was preceded in death by her hasband; two daughters, one in infancy and Mrs. Marvel Christopherson; two brothers and three sisters.
