HOLD LAST RITES FOR AN ESTEEMED WESTFIELD WOMAN
Mrs. A. A. Martin Was Early Day Resident Of That Locality
Mrs. A. A. Martin, an early-day resident of southwest Plymouth county, passed away Monday, December 28, at her home south of Westfield, after being ire failing health the past few years. She would have attained the age of 76 years the 1st day of January.
Anna Marie Ryan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ryan, was born January 1, 1884, at Jefferson, S. D., where she spent the early years of her life, and before her marriage was employed in the post office at that place. On February 22, 1908, she was united in marriage with A. A. (Gus) Martin, and they began farming near Westfield on the place which remained their home for sixty-five years.
Mrs. Martin was highly esteemed in wide circle of friends for her many fine qualities. Her husband preceded her in death on August 26, 1958.
Left to mourn her departure are three daughters, Mrs. Paul Donnelly, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mrs. Clem O'Connor of Minden, Iowa, and Mrs. Mark Maloy; three sons, John and Tom, of Westfield, and James, of Sioux City; two sisters, two brothers and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services wore hold Wednesday morning, last week, in St. Catherine's Catholic church, Westfield, of which the deceased had been a member for many years. Rev. J. G. Skahill officiated. Interment was in the Akron Catholic cemetery.
