Note: His wife's maiden name was Barnett. He married her as a widow with the last name Albright.

Resident Here Since Eighties

Hiram Greenwood, Well Known Farmer

Hiram Greenwood, 82, of Hinton vicinity died in a hospital in Sioux City, Saturday, after a brief illness. He had been a resident of Plymouth county since coming to America from England when he was twenty years of age. He followed the occupation of farming until a few years ago when he retired. Mr. Greenwood was a member of the Melbourne lodge of Odd Fellows.

He was born in Leeds, England, February 10, 1861. His wife Barbara, died last December. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Walter Berger and Mrs. Joe Lucey, both of Hinton; a son, George of Merrill; two brothers, Jonas and Frank, both of Hoopeston, Ill., and fifteen grandchildren. He was married to Barbara Albright in 1898. Besides his three children he leaves six stepchildren, Will Albright, Frank
Albright, Emma Albright, Mrs. Bernard Cumihow, Mrs. Wm. Epling of Merrill and Ed Albright of Sioux City, fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday at the Walter Berger residence in Liberty township and at 2 p. m. at the United Brethren church at Adaville, Rev. L. B. Foster officiating, and burial will be made in the cemetery in Merrill.
