Philip H. Van Vleck

Philip H. Van Vleck, 82, Long Beach, Calif., former Westfield resident died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1986 in Long Beach after a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Schroeder funeral home in Akron. The Rev. Peter Peterson officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery in Akron.

Mr. Van Vleck was born July 1,1903 at Westfield. He married Linnie Kloster in 1927 in South Sioux City, Neb. They farmed in the Westfield area until 1936 when they moved to South Sioux City. He worked in a packing plant before moving to Portland, Oregon and Long Beach, Calif. They had lived in Echo Lodge at Parker Dam, Calif., the last few years.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Richard of San Pedro, Calif.; one niece, Barbara Kruck of Sioux City; and several other nieces and nephews.
