Adele Willms

Adele Willms, 90, Alcester died Wednesday (Sept. 21, 1983) in the Morningside Manor nursing home in Alcester.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Peace Lutheran church in Alcester. The Rev. Neal Ahart officiated. Burial was in the Peace Lutheran cemetery under the direction of the Wass funeral home in Alcester.

Mrs. Willms, the former Adele Ahrens, was born March 30, 1893, in Whiteside county, Ill. She moved with her parents to the Akron community. She married Ebbo Willms April 7, 1921 at Vermillion. They made their home in the Akron area until 1940 when they moved to Alcester. He died in 1954. She worked as a seamstress for many years in Akron and Alcester. Since 1973 she had been a resident of Morningside Manor in Alcester.

Survivors are one son, Howard of Sheldon; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Laudenschlager of Oakland, Neb., Mrs. Ida Muth of Hawarden, and Mrs. Melva Groon of Alcester; one brother, Arthur of Alcester; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Kurle of Java, S.D.; 13 great-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
