Obituaries--Agnes Osborne

Agnes Osborne 98, of LeMars died Sunday (Aug. 2, 1987) at the Abbey in LeMars.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Seney United Methodist church. Rev. Robert Robinson and student minister Paul Evans will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 7-8:30 p.m. at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Osborne, the former Agnes Pech, was born Nov. 29, 1888 in Storm Lake to Gus and Mary Willstumpf Pech. She graduated from LeMars High School in 1908. She taught school before her marriage to George Osborne Aug. 25, 1920 in LeMars.

The couple farmed near LeMars until his death in 1951. In 1952 she moved to Alton and returned to LeMars in 1983.

Mrs. Osborne was a life member of Seney United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Dolly) Reeves of Pharr, Texas, Mrs. Minderd (Lois) Mars and Mrs. Lloyd (Georgine) Buss, both of Paullina, a son, William of Montevideo, Minn.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
