Carla Kay Rohde

Carla Kay Rohde, 23, of Sioux City, died unexpectedly Saturday (Sept. 14, 1991) at a Sioux City hospital.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sioux City Baptist church. Rev. James Pointer officiated.

Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Akron, la., under direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City.

Mrs. Rohde, the former Carla Kay Downing, was born Oct. 29, 1967, in Sioux City. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson high school in Council Bluffs, la. She was a lifelong Sioux City resident except from 1985 to 1987, when she lived in Council Bluffs. She married Craig C. Rohde Oct. 7, 1989, in Sioux City. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sioux City Baptist church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rachel K. of Sioux City; her mother and stepfather, Sandra and Randall Lilly of Sioux City; her father, Charles Downing of Sioux City; two brothers and their wives, Bradley and Marta Downing of Sioux City and Michael and Julie Downing of Denison, la.; a step-brother, Scot Lilly of Sioux City; a step-sister and her husband, Sara and Doug Garvin of South Sioux City; two sisters-in-law, Jeannie Schulz and Cindy and her husband, Tony Watterson, all of Sioux City; a brother-in-law, Jeff Rohde of Sioux City; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Duin of Sioux City; an aunt, Deborah Barbee of South Sioux City; and an uncle and his wife, Rick and Sherry Pollock of Golden, Colo..
