Johannah Pageler, 91, of Struble, passed away at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George Tammen, in Grant township on Wednesday afternoon August 1st.
Mrs. Pageler was a housewife. She had been in failing health for about one week.
On November 28, 1870, she was born to Mr. and Mrs. Gerd Johnson in Janciant, Germany. In July 21, 1892 she was united in marriage to John Pageler in Grant Township. They farmed in Washington township until 1942. Since 1942 she made her home with her children. On November 10, 1955 she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Tammen.
Funeral services will be held, on Saturday, August 4 at 2 p. m.. at St. John's Lutheran church, Craig. Rev. Ervin B. Schemmel will officiate. Burial will be in the Johnson township cemetery under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home.
Survivors include 3 daughters, (Mary) Mrs. Eilers, of Craig; (Emma) Mrs. Henry Tammen, of Le Mars, and (Lilly) Mrs. George Tammen, of Struble; 4 sons, Gerd Pageler, of Craig; Henry Pageler, of Merrill; Herman Pageler, of Sioux City, and Carl Pageler, of Canago Park, Calif.; two brothers, Carl Johnson, of Merrill, and Gerd Johnson, of Chatsworth; 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons; one daughter, two sisters and three brothers.
The deceased was a member of St. John's Lutheran church of Craig.
