Orville L. Cooper

Orville L. Cooper, 67, Maurice, a member of the Plymouth county health board, died Friday, Sept. 27, 1968, at Floyd Valley hospital in LeMars after a 4-month illness. He was hospitalized three weeks.

Mr. Cooper was born Nov. 15, 1900, at Neligh, Nebr., and lived in Nebraska until 1918 when he came to Sioux county area. He has since lived in the Seney vicinity.

Feb. 15, 1928, he was married to Fern Chapman in Sioux county. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Lucinda Alderson Cooper.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Seney United Methodist Church, with Rev. Milo Morris officiating. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Fern, rural Maurice; a daughter, Mrs. Jarold (Mavis) Sorgdrager, and a son, Marvin Cooper, both of LeMars; five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Wilson, Ferndale, Calif. and Mrs. Hazel Cary, Ewing, Nebr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter and a brother. Mr. Cooper was a member of the Seney Methodist church.
