Mrs. Orville Cooper
Mrs. Orville Cooper, 78, rural Maurice, died Friday morning (Nov. 12, 1982) at her farm home.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Seney United Methodist Church. John Sampson and Dr. Larry G. Wiley officiated.
Burial was in LeMars Memorial cemetery under the direction of Mauer funeral home. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Cooper, the former Fern Ruth Chapman was born Jan. 13, 1904, on a farm in Plymouth County. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Plymouth County.
She married Orville L. Cooper Feb. 15, 1928, in Sioux County. Mr. Cooper died in September 1968. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Seney United Methodist church and United Methodist Women.
Survivors are a daughter, Mavis Sorgdrager of Orange City; a son, Marvin of Orange City; six grandchildren, and two brothers, Marion Chapman, rural LeMars, and Earl Chapman, LeMars.
