MANY ATTEND RITES FOR MILTON THOMPSON WHO WAS BORN HERE

Milton A. Thompson, 50, Wessington Springs, S.D., farmer and son of Mrs. Florence Thompson of Merrill, died Nov. 16, 1954, at a Wessington Springs hospital. He has been a semi-invalid for many years.

He was born Sept. 23, 1904, at Merrill, where he lived until 3 years of age when the family moved to Wessington Springs. His marriage to Bessie Eaton took place Mar. 14, 1934, at Armour, S.D.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Doris, a public school teacher, and Donna, in high school; his mother, Mrs. Thompson of Merrill; and brother, Everett Thompson of Merrill.

Preceding him in death were his father, Harry Thompson, two sisters and a brother.

Relatives from a distance who attended funeral services at the Congregational church near the farm home at Hope, S.D. were: his mother, Mrs. Florence Thompson, and brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hamilton, all of Merrill.

Mrs. Ethel Cord, John Cord and Mrs. Carl Brown of Danbury; Mr. and Mrs. James Cord of Sioux City, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Brown of Ida Grove; Mrs. Emma Alderson, Bob and William Hodgson and Mr. and Mrs. George Heckenlively, all of LeMars.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Strobel and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Easton of Westfield; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Miller of Colton, S.D.; and Mrs. Nina Peterson, of Woonsocket, S.D.
