Final Services For Mrs. Klostermann
Well Known Remsen Resident Passes Away

Final rites for Mrs. Mary Klostermann, 87, resident of Remsen since early days were held Saturday in St. Mary's church at Remsen, Msgr. A. Schemel officiating. Six grandsons were pallbearers.

Her maiden name was Mary Kramer and she was born at Steinfort, Germany, July 22, 1854. When two years old, she came with her parents to Dyersville, Iowa. She was married there to Frank Klostermann February 18, 1873. They settled on a farm near Remsen in 1897.

Death which took place Thursday was due to infirmities of age.

Mrs. Klostermann was the mother of twelve children. Four passed away in infancy. Josephine died in 1913 and Mary, Mrs. Wm. Muhlenkamp died in 1909. She was the last survivor in a family of nine children and the youngest. Surviving are 47 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The living children are: Mrs. Kneip, Remsen; Frank, Sioux City; Clem, Compton, Calif.; Charles, Elkton, S.D.; Andrew, Sioux Falls, and Emma, Mrs. Mike Frank, Remsen.
