Russell Laux, 81, 115 First Ave. SE, died Sunday (April 15,1973) at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center after a short illness.

He had lived at the center the last year and a half.

Russell Leon Laux was born June 19, 1891, in Le Mars, the son of the late Wilhelm and Lydia (Duerr) Laux. He had never married.

A retired carpenter and lather, Mr. Laux was a lifelong resident of Plymouth county and Le Mars.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. Milo Morris officiating.

Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Survivors are cousins.

Mr. Laux was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Bernice and Lucille.
