Life’s End. MRS. FRANK ENGELBRECHT OF REMSEN DEAD; RITES SET THURSDAY.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Engelbrecht, 72, of Remsen, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church at Remsen.
Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
Casket bearers will be Paul Marquard, Morton Mortensen, Fred Raetz, Dr. Floyd Mylan, Joe Augustine and Leonard Hansen.
Mrs. Engelbrecht died Monday night at home after a long illness. The former Doris Sanny, she was born July 11, 1894, in Meadow township, Plymouth county. She was married Feb. 26, 1916, at Remsen.
They farmed north of Remsen for 37 years, retiring 14 years ago. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Donell of Remsen; two brothers, Henry Sanny of Sioux city and Albert Sanny of Meriden, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Bjork of Remsen and Mrs. Ted Amundson of Le Mars.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Russell and Virgil in infancy; a brother, John and a sister, Mrs. Otto Peterson. – Le Mars Globe Post, Jan. 26, 1967, page 9 and Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Jan 25, 1967, page 11.
