Anne Croon funeral
Mrs. Anna Croon nee Johnson was born at Mt. Olive, Illinois, Nov. 17, 1860. On Jan. 25, 1883, she was married to Onno Croon and they came immediately to Grant township, where they purchased a farm a mile southeast of Craig. They lived there until 1912, when they retired and moved to the new town of Craig, where she has since resided.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Onno, who died on Oct. 26, 1939, two sons, Herman, who died in infancy, and Cornelius, who died on Dec. 11, 1939.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Etta Ludwig, with whom she resided, Mrs. Ella Grubbs of Custer, S. D., four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; two brothers, John H. Johnson of Rock Valley and Chas. G. Johnson of Craig.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church at Craig, of which she had been a faithful member, as she also was of the Ladies Aid. She had been in failing health for some time, her sickness became serious about a week ago and death occurred about 7 p. m.

Death Claims. Mrs. Onno Croon
Mrs. Onno Croon passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Ludwig at Craig last Thursday evening, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran church at Craig on Monday afternoon, with Rev, F; Voelker in charge. Interment was at Craig.
Anna Johnson was born at Nakomis, Illinois, November 2, 1860, and so was past 83 years of age at the time of her death. She came to Plymouth county in her youth. Her husband preceded her in death in 1935. She was the mother of four children, two sons preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ludwig at Craig and Mrs, Howard Gubbs of Custer, S. D.; two brothers, Chas. Johnson of Craig and John Johnson of Rock Valley. There are four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Ned Kluter of Chester, S. D., and Misses Edna and Margaret Eilers of Sioux Falls came to attend the funeral.
