Mrs. Mary Vondrak Dies at Hinton Home
Hinton, Ia. -- Special: Mrs. Mary Vondrak, a resident of Plymouth county for 70 years, died Tuesday night -- two days after her 80th birthday -- here.
She was born July 20, 1872, in Bohemia, and came to the United States and to Plymouth county at the age of 10. She was married May 18, 1895 to Mike Vondrak. He died June 5, 1951.
Mrs. Vondrak was a member of St. Boniface Catholic church in Sioux City.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frances Kovarna of Hinton; three sons, John and Clarence, both of Merrill, and Arthur, of Sioux City; three sisters, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Wescott-Doughty-Chandler funeral home in Sioux City.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Vondrak, 80, resident of Plymouth county for 70 years who died Tuesday night at the farm home in Perry township, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic church.
Rev. Newman Flanagan will officiate and burial will be in Logan park cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carl Anderson, Oliver Bonnes, William Flannery, Richard Kaiser, John Kovarna and Frank Stastny.
The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight at the Wescott-Doughty-Chandler chapel.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frances Kovarna of Hinton; three sons, John and Clarence, both of Hinton, and Arthur of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. William Bauerly and Mrs. Robert Brownlee, both of Merrill, and Mrs. A. L. Armstrong of Sioux City, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
