FORMER COUNTY RESIDENT DIES
Mrs. William Gaudian, nee Margaret Johanna Bohlken, passed away at her home, 1637 West Fifth street, Sioux City, Iowa, on Saturday, September 17, 1927, aged 40 years, 6 months, 23 days. Death was due to a complication of diseases.
Mrs. Gaudian was born in Preston township, Plymouth county, Iowa, on February 24, 1887, and received her schooling in Preston township, moving to LeMars with her parents twenty four years ago. She was married January 18, 1915, to William Gaudian, and to this union one daughter was born, Eleanor Margaret Gaudian, who with the husband, survives. Mrs. Gaudian has resided in Sioux City nine years. Besides her immediate family, she leaves three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Salberg, LeMars; Mrs. Mert Gabel, east of Akron and Mrs. Ed Aldrich, of LeMars: five brothers, John Bohlken, Ireton; Wm and Dick Bohlken, Akron; George Bohlken, Estelline, S.D.; and Albert Bohlken, Lisbon N.D.; her father, S. Bohlken, LeMars. Her mother passed away in 1902 and two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Relatives in this vicinity attended the funeral, which was held Tuesday at 12:30 o'clock from the home in Sioux City, and at St. Paul's Methodist church in LeMars, Rev. S. C. Steinbrenner, of Morningside College, and Rev. Schneider, of LeMars, officiating. Interment was in the city cemetery at LeMars.
