Harry H. Alexander Jr., 87, of Sioux City, died Friday, Oct. 30 at Indian Hills Care Center, Sioux City.
Mr. Alexander was born Nov. 28, 1904 at Yuma, Ariz., to Harry H. and Rhonda (Dean) Alexander. When a young child he moved with his parents to Turlock, Calif., where he was raised and educated. He moved to near Tucson, Ariz., when a young man where he was engaged in farming. In about 1950 he moved to the central valley area of California where he was a farm laborer. He retired in about 1970 and moved to Kingman, Ariz. In May of 1991 he moved to Remsen where he resided with his sister, Velva Shea. He had been a resident of Indian Hills Care Center in Sioux City since November of 1991.
Surviving are an adopted son, David Alexander of Anacortes, Wash.; an adopted daughter, Susan Alexander of San Bruno, Calif.; two brothers, George of Stockton, Calif., and Victor of Mariette, Ga.; and a sister, Mrs. Velva Shea of Remsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Joe R., John, Charlie and will; four sisters, Nina J. Alexander, in infancy, Norah Alexander, when a young child, Mrs. Raymond (Bessie) Barmore and Mrs. Morris (Ruth) Yule. - Remsen Bell-Enterprise, Nov. 12, 1992
