REMSEN, Iowa – Allison A. Harnack, 90, of Remsen died Wednesday in a hospital in Le Mars.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Moeller Funeral Home in Remsen. Merrill Bean, minister of the North Congregation of Sioux City of Jehovah’s Witnesses will officiate. Burial will be a later date. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Mr. Harnack was born March 30, 1896, in Remsen. He married Clara Ohlendorf Jan. 4, 1923, at Remsen. He farmed south of Remsen from 1923 until retiring at the age 65. He moved to Happy Siesta Retirement Home eight years ago. Mrs. Harnack died June 25, 1970.
Mr. Harnack was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include a son, Vance of Remsen; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. – family news clipping
