Rites Saturday for Gladys Pearson.
Mrs. Eric (Gladys) M.Pearson, 76¸ of Remsen, died suddenly Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1992 at Marian Health Center, Sioux City, after a brief illness.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Remsen. Rev. Craig Miller officiated. Burial was at the Remsen City Cemetery under direction of the Moeller Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pearson was born Jan. 24, 1916, at Paullina, the daughter of William and Fern (Carlson) Riedemann. She graduated from Meriden High School and on Sept. 9, 1934, married Eric Pearson at Spencer. They farmed south of Marcus and Remsen area for a number of years, retiring in 1965 when they moved to Marcus. Mrs. Pearson worked at the veterinary clinic and the Marcus High School for a number of years. They moved to Remsen in 1981, and in March of this year moved to Plymouth Manor in Le Mars. In July, she moved to Happy Siesta at Remsen.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Remsen, and a member of the St. Paul’s Ladies Aid.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. James (Shirley) Schumacher and Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Klingbeil, both of Remsen; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Vernon. – Remsen Bell-Enterprise, Dec. 17, 1992
