C. W. Benjegerdes, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Benjegerdes, of Marion township, succumbed on Wednesday morning to influenza. William Benjegerdes was twenty-eight years of age and was born and lived here all his life. He had recently undertaken the care of the home farm on his own account.
The young man is mourned by his parents, one brother, Dietrich Benjegerdes and four sisters, Mrs. Charles Harnack, of Garretson, S. D.; Miss Lena Benjegerdes, of Manly, Iowa, and Mary and Minnie living at home.
The funeral will be held at ten o’clock at the residence, Rev. E. H. Eilers, of St. Paul’s church, Remsen, officiating. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Jan. 10, 1919, page 1.
