Clifford Dorr funeral rites set at Remsen .
Clifford A. Dorr, 68, Remsen, a director of the Frist Trust and Savings bank of Remsen and mayor of Remsen from 1952 until 1973, died Thursday morning (Aug. 4, 1977) at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Christ Lutheran church at Remsen. Rev. Allen Brutlag will officiate.
Burial will be in Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home of Remsen
Besides serving as Remsen mayor, Mr. Dorr was a Remsen city councilman from 1942-1952.
He was secretary and later treasurer of Christ Lutheran for more than 30 years.
He was president of Happy Siesta retirement home in Remsen.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran church and Remsen chamber of commerce. He also was a charter member of the Remsen Lions club.
From 1933 until his retirement in 1967, Mr. Dorr owned and managed Dorr Produce and Feed at Remsen.
Mr. Dorr was born Dec. 25, 1908, in Remsen township. He married Ruth Anna Eichhorn, June 18, 1936, in Amherst township.
Survivors are his wife; a brother, Martin of Remsen, and a sister , Mrs. Floyd (Alma) McQueen of Primghar.
Pallbearers will be Louis Treinen, Walter Erichsen, John Ritz, William Waugh, Robert Schumacher, Larry Kobberman.
