Ferguson Services Held Monday - 1962
Services were held Monday for George G. Ferguson, 88, of James, who died Friday at Sioux City hospital after an illness of several months. Rev. S. Gale Hawhee, of the Hinton Methodist church officiated at the services which were held at 1:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, in Sioux City, and burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mr. Ferguson was born in Woodson, Scotland, November 26, 1873. He farmed in the James vicinity and later served as postmaster and operated a store there.
His wife died in 1950 in Sioux City.
Survivors include a son, Hume of James, two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lester Bates, LeRoy Bates, Walter Schindler, Dillard Adams, Walter Scrier, and Marvin Rochester.
