Obituary. Joergen Johnson.
Funeral services for Joergen Johnson , 89, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen.
Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate. Burial will be in Remsen city cemetery, under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
Mr. Johnson died Friday, Jan. 10, at a hospital in Le Mars after brief illness.
He formerly operated a theater, and at one time owned the Remsen Telephone Co., now the West Iowa Telephone Co. With his brother, he operated the first electric plant in Remsen.
He was the first rural mail carrier in Fredonia township. At the time of his death, he was president of the Remsen Tank Line.
Survivors are his wife Gertrude; a son, Karl of Remsen, a daughter, Mrs. W. K. Myers of Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Jan. 13, 1969, page 8.
