Obituary. Mrs. Lois I. Wixon.
Mrs. Lois Irene Wixon, 67, a former Remsen resident, died Friday (Mar. 26, 1976) at a nursing home in Austin, Tex. She had been at the Northwest Medi-Plex center in Austin for the last 10 years.
Mrs. Wixon, the former Lois Irene Recknagel, will be remembered as a dental assistant to Dr. Esser in Remsen.
She was born July 14, 1908 in Remsen, where she spent her early years. She had also been a saleswoman for the Sioux City Journal before her marriage. She had lived in Sioux Falls, S.D. prior to moving to Texas.
Her marriage took place in 1932 and Mr. Wixon preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church in Remsen. Rev. Paul Wuebben and Rev. Karlton Wgner will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
Survivors include a brother, Orville, A.I.D., Oklahoma City, Okla. And a sister, Mrs. Paul (Vivian) Wuebben, Remsen. Also a nephew, Dr. Wayne Wuebben.
