Albert Rathman is Stricken Suddenly. Well Known Remsen Man Is Found Dead Thursday – Buried Saturday. Remsen Bell-Enterprise:
Another familiar figure was lost forever to the gaze of friends, sisters and brothers who knew and loved him for half a century, when last Saturday afternoon tears, flowers and regrets were strewn over the grave of Albert Rathmann, member of a pioneer and prominent family here, who passed away suddenly at an early hour last Thursday, at his home. Albert was 56 years old and had lived in this community since the age of two. His lifeless body was found in his bed at home shortly after the noon hour Thursday, his spirit having flown sometime during the early morning.
