Area Deaths. David G. Moritz.
David G. Moritz, 86, Sioux City, died Wednesday shortly after arriving at a Sioux City hospital.
He was born Sept. 2, 1882, at Benson, Ill., and moved to Remsen when he was eight years old.
He married Dora Piepgrass Oct. 2, 1906, at Remsen. She died there in April 1940
Mr. Moritz retired from farming at Remsen about 25 years ago and moved to Sioux City.
Survivors are two sons, George of Sioux City and Raymond of Dixon, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Anderson funeral home in Sioux City. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, March 27, 1969, page 5.
