Died. Louis Lang died at his home in Meadow township on Monday. His death, which was very sudden and unexpected, was due to an attack of pneumonia. Mr. Lang was in Remsen on the Thursday previous to his death and apparently in his usual rugged health. On going home that evening he was taken with a chill and the symptoms quickly developed into a severe case of pneumonia. He failed rapidly and died on Monday morning. He was about 26 years old. His death is particularly sad in that he leaves a wife to whom he was married only six months ago. She was formerly Miss Louise Moser. He was an upright and honorable young man whose many friends regret his sudden taking away. The funeral services which were held at St. Paul’s Evangelical church on Thursday by Rev. Hoeppner, were largely attended by mourning relatives and friends. The interment took place in the Remsen cemetery. – Le Mars Globe, Feb. 22, 1902, page 1.
