Obituary. Mrs. Charles Lang.
Mrs. Charles Lang, 80, Remsen, died unexpectedly at her home Tuesday night.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran church, Remsen, with Rev. Donald Wuertz officiating. Burial will be in the Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
The former Martha Klingbeil, she was born Nov. 20, 1889, at Remsen, a daughter of the late Herman and Anna Klingbeil. She married Charles Lang Feb. 14, 1912, at Sioux City. They farmed south of Remsen for 32 years and after retiring moved to Santa Cruise, Calif., for two years. In 1946 they returned to Remsen where they have resided since.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran church and the ladies aid.
Survivors are her husband, Charles, of Remsen; two daughters, Mrs. Warren (Vione) Schutz of Van Meter, Mrs. G.E. (Phyllis) McKimpson of Oelwein; a son, Dr. Allen Lang of Iowa City; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, April 2, 1970, page 4.
