Clarence Braun, Retired Service Station Man, Dead.
Clarence P. Braun, 64, former LeMars, business man, died at his home in LeMars at 501 Evelyn Drive, Thursday evening. He had been in poor health for several years.
Mr. Braun was born Aug. 26, 1902, in LeMars and was a lifelong Plymouth county resident. He farmed until 1956 when he moved to LeMars. He was operator of the downtown Skelly service station until 1964 when he retired because of poor health.
His marriage to Myrtle Schindel took place Aug. 11, 1927, in Sioux City. His parents were the late Peter and Anna (Eulberg) Braun.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Evangelical United church. REv. Harold Varce will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Sioux City, under the direction of the Mauer Funeral home.
Survivors are his wife, Myrtle, LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Betty) Hesse, Cherokee; a son, William Braun, LeMars; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Leona) Russell, LeMars, and Mrs. Otto (Irene) Osterbuhr, Akron; and a brother, Frank Braun, Merrill.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Mr Braun was a member of the Calvary EUB church in LeMars and Triangle lodge 643 AF and AM, Sioux City.
