Brunsville Man Called By Death
Jesse McHale Dies Suddenly Wednesday Morning
Jesse McHale, well known Plymouth countyman, died at his home in Brunsville on August 31. Mr. McHale had been failing for the past year, attending physicians having diagnosed his sickness became acute in June of this year. Jesse McHale was born in Nebraska on February 23, 1887. He was the son of John McHale, a native of Pennsylvania; his mother was born in Sweden.
Most of his life Jesse McHale was a railroad man. About 13 years ago, however, he conducted a restaurant in LeMars known as the New Grand and later at the Boston Cafe. For the past several years he had been engaged in the same businss at Brunsville.When he was a young man he served three years and eight months in the navy. He was a Veteran of the World War. After his discharge from the army he married Cathryn Rieken in Sioux City, May 10, 1919. To this union five children were born Henry, 12 years old, John 11, Bernard 9, Marjorie 8 and Kathryn 4. Besides his wife and children . Mr. McHale is survived by one brother and two sisters, John McHale, Mrs T.B Williams and Mrs. Francis Crough, all of Portland, Oregon.
Funeral arrangements have beenheld up pending the arrival of relatives from Porltand. Luken's funeral directors are in charge of the burial which will be in city cemetery in LeMars.
