John Alvin Bainbridge

John Alvin Bainbridge, 89, of Kingsley, died Thursday (May 3, 1984) at Floyd Valley Hospital, Le Mars.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Kingsley with Rev. H. Wallace Kinzler officiating. Burial will be in the Kingsley Cemetery. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Friday in the Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Mr. Bainbridge was born April 13, 1895, in Kingsley. He married Grace Freeman in 1915. She died in 1920. He married Lena Heifner in 1930 in Kingsley. She preceded him in death. He married Gladys Pearl McKibbin May 27,1948, in Kingsley. She died in 1981. Mr. Bainbridge farmed in the Kingsley area and Canada for a number of years. He also operated a corn sheller until his retirement in 1959. He lived in Kingsley until 1982 when he moved into the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. Mr. Bainbridge was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kingsley.

Survivors are three sons, Harlan and Vance, both of Kingsley, and Russell of Walnut Creek, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Albert (Maxine) Lindgren of Kingsley; one brother, Joe of Smithland; two sisters, Mrs. Everett (Etta) Wood and Annie Hagen, both of Kingsley; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
