Obituary of Ommo Johnson Redelfs
Ommo Johnson Redelfs, son of Eilert and Gesche Margaret Redelfs was born in Burhafe, Germany, on April 3, 1850. In his infancy he was baptized and later through confirmation, he took the vow to remain true to the Lutheran church, which he did.
On May 12, 1880, he was united in n marriage to Antje Eckhoff to which union were born two sons and four daughters. The family came to this country in 1895 and made their home in Plymouth county, spending the last five years a t Brunsville
The deceased had always been in good, health until about six weeks ago, when the infirmities of his advanced age began to show and he failed rapidly, passing away at his home Saturday evening, November 23rd, at the advanced age of 79 years, 7 Months, and 20 days.
He leaves to mourn his loss, two, sons and four daughters, Eilert, of Brunsville; John, of Myers, Mont.; Mrs. Frerich Wilken of Brunsville; Mrs Hans Martfeld of West LeMars ; Mrs. Dietrich Martfeld, of Alcester, S.D.; and Mrs. Alfred Buehre of Akron, Iowa, besides a number of grandchildren; a brother and sister in Germany also survived him.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the St. Peter's Lutheran church at Brunsville, Rev. A. Schempp officiating. Interment was made at the Merrill cemetery. The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved relatives in their sorrow.
