Funeral Held Monday For Mrs. Deviney, 65, Long Resident Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Philomena Deviney, 65, life long resident of Le Mars, were held at the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church in LeMars Monday, Jan. 23 at 2:30 p.m. Burial was in the city cemetery. Wiltgen's funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Diviney had been in ill health since June. She was admitted to the Sacred Heart hospital three weeks ago where she passed away Saturday, Jan. 21.

Philomena Ries was born in LeMars on Jan. 10, 1885. She married Rueben Deviney May 5, 1908 in Council Bluffs. She was an active member of the Royal Neighbors

Mrs. Deviney was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Buehler of Sutherland, and Mrs. Charles Knutson of LeMars. Also surviving her are four grandchildren and four sisters: Mrs. Roy Hilker of Paullina; Mrs. Kate Barton, Mrs. Ann Marieneau, and Mrs. Dick Roberts all of LeMars.
