Death of Mrs. Moist.
Mrs. Louisa Moist, wife of Samuel Moist, died at New Hartford, Iowa, on Tuesday afternoon, November 24, aged 65 years, 1 month and 26 days. Mrs. Moist had gone to New Hartford to visit her daughter who was sick. Her own illness came on and she died quite suddenly. A dispatch was sent to Sam Moist, Le Mars, and an attempt was made to deliver it to S. E . Moist, the son of Samuel Moist, Sr. The son was out of town and so was his.wife so that it was the next day before the dispatch could be delivered.
Mrs; Moist was born in Lebanon county, Pennsylvania, September 30, 1831, and was married to Samuel Moist September 27, 1849. In 1882 the family removed to Plymouth county and in 1893 Mr. and Mrs. Moist removed to Le Mars from their farm near Hinton.
Mrs. Moist was a member of the German Baptist church.
The funeral services were held in Le Mars this forenoon conducted by Rev. Emil Mueller.
Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Moist and ten of them survive to mourn the loss of a loving mother.
