Vera I. Eslick
Vera I. Eslick, 78, of Elk Point died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1993, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Elk Point United Parish Church with the Rev. Chandler Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Elk Point Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today and continue Wednesday at the Anderson Funeral Home, Elk Point.
Mrs. Eslick, the former Vera Campbell, was born Sept. 29, 1915, in Westfield, Iowa. She graduated from Westfield High School. She-married Alfred Eslick March 15, 1941, in Dakota City. The couple made their home in Elk Point. She was employed at the County Assessors office for several years and with the LEE organization.for the last 10 years. Mrs. Eslick was a member of the Elk Point United Parish Church, Truth Rebekah Lodge 129 of Elk Point and a 49-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Elk Point.
Survivors include her husband; a son Gary and his wife, Joan Eslick of Story City, Iowa; two sisters, Gladys Beaubien and Gail Lilly, both of Akron, Iowa; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren
