James W. Adams
James Wyman Adams, 78, of Akron, died Sunday (March 26, 1978) at the Akron hospital after a brief illness.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wesley United Methodist church, Akron, The Rev. Dwight Bonham officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, under direction of the Schroeder funeral home.
Mr. Adams was born Jan. 31, 1900, in Blunt, S.D. He married Florence Adelia Larkin April 19, 1920. He farmed for several years in the Maurice area and for a time was a barber in Sioux City. For 38. years he was an employee of .Young's Dairy in Sioux City until he retired in 1965. He moved to Akron after retirement. He was a 50-year member of the Modern Woodmen of America and was a member of the Izaak Walton League, the Teamster union, and Whitfield Methodist church of Sioux City.
Survivors include the widow; a son, James of Mankato, Minn.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Brest of Missoula, Mont., Mrs. Ethel Harris of Yankton, S.D., and Mrs. Myrtle McCorkell of" Canistota, S.D.; two brothers, Claude of Broderick, Calif., and Arthur of Hobsoh, Mont.
